User and Employer Guide: Utilizing Certified Interpreting Services of SEAProTI
4 February 2025, Bangkok – The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) has developed this guide to provide information to the public, lawyers, and relevant government and private sector agencies on accessing Certified Interpreter services offered by SEAProTI. These services are designed for legal, medical, and specialized fields such as factory engineering, academic seminars, and military activities, among others.
This guide was first published in February 2025 by the Institute for Legal and Medical Translators and Interpreters Management (ITIM). The information in this guide is accurate as of the date of publication. However, procedures may be subject to changes or updates that are not specified in this document. It is recommended that users verify the latest information on the SEAProTI website.

The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) has officially announced the criteria and qualifications for individuals to register as “Certified Translators,” “Translation Certification Providers,” and “Certified Interpreters” under the association’s regulations. These guidelines are detailed in Sections 9 and 10 of the Royal Thai Government Gazette, issued by the Secretariat of the Cabinet under the Office of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, dated July 25, 2024, Volume 141, Part 66 Ng, Page 100.

คู่มือสำหรับผู้ใช้และนายจ้าง: การใช้บริการล่ามรับรองของ SEAProTI
