ในกรณีของชาวต่างชาติที่ต้องการทำพินัยกรรมในประเทศไทย การเข้าใจรายละเอียดของพินัยกรรมตามกฎหมายไทยเป็นสิ่งสำคัญ เพื่อให้สามารถจัดการทรัพย์สินได้อย่างถูกต้องตามกฎหมายไทย โดยเฉพาะทรัพย์สินที่เป็นอสังหาริมทรัพย์หรือทรัพย์สินส่วนบุคคลที่ตั้งอยู่ในประเทศไทย เช่น คอนโดมิเนียม รถยนต์ หรือบัญชีธนาคารที่มีมูลค่ามาก ดังนั้น การจัดทำพินัยกรรมที่สอดคล้องกับกฎหมายไทยจึงเป็นสิ่งที่ไม่ควรมองข้าม

การรับรองการแปลก็เป็นอีกหนึ่งส่วนที่สำคัญ โดยการรับรองการแปลจากนักแปลรับรองจะช่วยให้เอกสารที่แปลมีความน่าเชื่อถือและสามารถนำไปใช้ได้ในกระบวนการทางกฎหมาย นอกจากนี้ การรับรองจากล่ามรับรองยังช่วยในการสื่อสารให้กระจ่างและถูกต้องในระหว่างกระบวนการต่าง ๆ ของการทำพินัยกรรม
