SEAProTI Successfully Mediate a 300,000 Baht Informal Debt Case with Repayment Scheduled to Complete by End of 2024
February 1, 2024, Bangkok — Khun Wanitcha Sumanat, President of the Southeast Asia Professional Translators and Interpreters Association (SEAProTI) and an expert mediator for the Ministry of Justice and the Royal Thai Police, together with Mr. Banjerd Chanrungsri, Vice President of SEAProTI and an experienced mediator and arbitrator from the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC), were invited by the investigation team of the Plubplachai 1 Metropolitan Police Station to assist and coordinate the mediation of an informal debt case.
The case involved a financial dispute of 300,000 baht. Through the mediation process, an agreement was reached to settle the debt at 250,000 baht. The debtor agreed to repay the creditor in 10 installments of 25,000 baht each, with full repayment to be completed by December 2024. The mediation process was well-received by both parties, and the involved individuals expressed satisfaction with the outcome.
This case highlights the crucial role of professional mediators in resolving disputes efficiently, reducing the burden of legal proceedings, and ensuring the satisfaction of all parties involved.

The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) has officially announced the criteria and qualifications for individuals to register as “Certified Translators,” “Translation Certification Providers,” and “Certified Interpreters” under the association’s regulations. คดีดังกล่าวมีทุนทรัพย์มูลค่า 300,000 บาท ซึ่งผลจากการไกล่เกลี่ยสามารถตกลงกันได้ที่จำนวน 250,000 บาท โดยลูกหนี้ยินยอมชำระเงินคืนเจ้าหนี้เป็นงวด ๆ จำนวน 10 งวด งวดละ 25,000 บาท และจะชำระเสร็จสิ้นในเดือนธันวาคม 2567 ทั้งนี้ การไกล่เกลี่ยดังกล่าวได้รับการตอบรับเป็นอย่างดีจากทั้งสองฝ่าย โดยประชาชนที่เกี่ยวข้องต่างแสดงความยินดีกับผลลัพธ์ที่ได้จากกระบวนการไกล่เกลี่ย
