SEAProTI Joins a Seminar to Enhance Legal Knowledge
and Management of Migrant Workers for Employers
On December 19, 2024, the Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI), led by its President, Ms. Wanitcha Sumanas, joined a seminar on legal education and the management of migrant workers at the Chotika Room, Central Place Hotel. The event brought together participants from various sectors, including employers and partner organizations, to deepen understanding of labor laws and promote efficient management of migrant workers in Thailand.
The seminar aimed to provide crucial legal knowledge related to migrant workers, including the Alien Workers Act, the Labor Protection Act, and immigration laws. It also focused on promoting compliance with regulations such as the registration of workers and obtaining work permits. Additionally, the event emphasized best practices for managing migrant workers in workplaces, including ensuring labor rights, streamlining recruitment procedures to meet legal standards, and fostering cooperation with relevant agencies in both the public and private sectors.
Participants were encouraged to recognize the importance of sustainable and fair management of migrant workers. The seminar provided a platform for sharing knowledge and experiences while strengthening networks among organizations. It also highlighted collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, the Department of Employment, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
The event also featured the dissemination of essential information through guides on migrant labor laws and promotional materials such as videos and infographics. These resources aim to support communication and provide consultations for employers through online channels and service centers.
This initiative plays a significant role in reducing the risk of labor law violations among employers. It also promotes better quality of life and fairness for migrant workers, contributing positively to Thailand’s economy and society in the long term.

สมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้จัดสัมมนาเสริมความรู้ด้านกฎหมายและการจัดการแรงงานต่างด้าวแก่ผู้ประกอบการ
วันที่ 19 ธันวาคม 2567 สมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ นำโดยคุณวณิชชา สุมานัส นายกสมาคมฯ ได้จัดสัมมนาในโครงการให้ความรู้ด้านกฎหมายและการบริหารจัดการแรงงานต่างด้าว ณ ห้องโชติกา โรงแรมเซนทรัลเพลส โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมงานจากหลากหลายภาคส่วน รวมถึงผู้ประกอบการและองค์กรภาคีเครือข่าย เพื่อเพิ่มความเข้าใจในกฎหมายแรงงานและส่งเสริมการบริหารจัดการแรงงานข้ามชาติในประเทศไทยอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
โครงการดังกล่าวมีเป้าหมายสำคัญในการให้ความรู้ด้านกฎหมายที่เกี่ยวข้องกับแรงงานต่างด้าว เช่น พระราชบัญญัติแรงงานต่างด้าว กฎหมายว่าด้วยการคุ้มครองแรงงาน และกฎหมายด้านการเข้าเมือง รวมถึงการส่งเสริมการปฏิบัติอย่างถูกต้องตามระเบียบ เช่น การจดทะเบียนแรงงานและการขอใบอนุญาตทำงาน (Work Permit) นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการถ่ายทอดแนวทางการบริหารจัดการแรงงานในสถานประกอบการที่เหมาะสม อาทิ การดูแลสิทธิแรงงาน การปรับปรุงขั้นตอนการจ้างงานให้เป็นไปตามมาตรฐาน และการสร้างความร่วมมือกับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง ทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชน
กิจกรรมภายในงานยังมุ่งเน้นการสร้างความตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของการบริหารจัดการแรงงานต่างด้าวในลักษณะที่ยั่งยืนและเป็นธรรม โดยเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เข้าร่วมสัมมนาได้แลกเปลี่ยนความรู้และประสบการณ์ พร้อมทั้งส่งเสริมการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือระหว่างองค์กร รวมถึงการเชื่อมโยงกับกระทรวงแรงงาน กรมการจัดหางาน และองค์กรพัฒนาเอกชน (NGOs)
การสัมมนาครั้งนี้ยังได้เผยแพร่ข้อมูลสำคัญผ่านคู่มือที่เกี่ยวข้องกับกฎหมายแรงงานต่างด้าว พร้อมทั้งจัดทำสื่อประชาสัมพันธ์ในรูปแบบวิดีโอและอินโฟกราฟิก เพื่อสนับสนุนการสื่อสารและการให้คำปรึกษาแก่ผู้ประกอบการผ่านช่องทางออนไลน์และศูนย์บริการ
โครงการดังกล่าวมีบทบาทสำคัญในการลดความเสี่ยงที่ผู้ประกอบการอาจละเมิดกฎหมายแรงงาน อีกทั้งยังส่งเสริมคุณภาพชีวิตและความเป็นธรรมในกลุ่มแรงงานต่างด้าว ซึ่งมีผลดีต่อภาพรวมของเศรษฐกิจและสังคมไทยในระยะยาว
