SEAProTI Hosts “Document Translation for Visa and Work Permit Applications” Training
August 3, 2023, Bangkok – The Professional Translators, Translation Certification Providers, and Interpreters Society (PTIS), under the guidance of the Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI), successfully organized a training program on “Document Translation for Visa and Work Permit Applications.”
The morning session focused on “Introduction to Document Translation for Visa and Work Permit Applications,”covering topics such as the Foreign Business Act, the Immigration Act, translation activities for Thai citizens requiring documents abroad, and translations for all types of foreign business documents. The session was led by Khun Wanitcha Sumanat, President of SEAProTI.
In the afternoon, the topic shifted to “Techniques for Translating Documents Between Thai and English.” Key points included understanding source material, utilizing translation tools, formulating accurate translations, and analyzing discourse within translated documents for effective translation. The afternoon session was conducted by Mr. Suraphan Wirojdon, an esteemed instructor at SEAProTI, honorary member, advisor, and professional translator and interpreter.
The event attracted significant interest from professional translators and interpreters, as well as individuals looking to enhance their skills in international document translation.

The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) has officially announced the criteria and qualifications for individuals to register as “Certified Translators,” “Translation Certification Providers,” and “Certified Interpreters” under the association’s regulations. These guidelines are detailed in Sections 9 and 10 of the Royal Thai Government Gazette, issued by the Secretariat of the Cabinet under the Office of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, dated July 25, 2024, Volume 141, Part 66 Ng, Page 100.

๓ สิงหาคม ๒๕๖๖, กรุงเทพมหานคร – ชมรมนักแปล ผู้รับรองการแปล และล่ามวิชาชีพ (Professional Translators, Translation Certification Providers, and Interpreters Society – PTIS) ภายใต้การกำกับดูแลของ สมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters – SEAProTI) จัดอบรมหลักสูตร “การแปลเอกสารเพื่อขอวีซ่าและใบอนุญาตทำงานของชาวต่างชาติ”
ในช่วงเช้า มีการบรรยายหัวข้อ “การแปลเอกสารเพื่อขอวีซ่าและใบอนุญาตทำงานของชาวต่างชาติเบื้องต้น” โดยเนื้อหาครอบคลุมถึง พระราชบัญญัติการประกอบธุรกิจของคนต่างด้าว พระราชบัญญัติคนเข้าเมือง กิจกรรมแปลเอกสารสำหรับคนไทยที่ต้องใช้ในต่างประเทศ และการแปลเอกสารสำหรับธุรกิจของคนต่างด้าวทุกประเภท วิทยากรในช่วงเช้า ได้แก่ คุณวณิชชา สุมานัส นายกสมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้
ช่วงบ่าย มีการบรรยายเกี่ยวกับ “เทคนิคการแปลเอกสารจากภาษาไทยเป็นภาษาอังกฤษและภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาไทย”เน้นการเข้าใจเนื้อหาต้นฉบับ การใช้เครื่องมือช่วยแปล วิธีคิดคำแปล และการวิเคราะห์วาทกรรมในเอกสารเพื่อให้การแปลมีประสิทธิภาพ วิทยากรในช่วงบ่าย ได้แก่ อาจารย์สุรพันธ์ วิโรจน์ดุล วิทยากรประจำสมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้
การอบรมครั้งนี้ได้รับความสนใจจากนักแปลและล่ามมืออาชีพ รวมถึงบุคคลทั่วไปที่ต้องการพัฒนาทักษะการแปลเอกสารสำหรับการใช้งานในระดับสากล
