SEAProTI Holds Annual General Meeting at Lumpini Metropolitan Police Station, Bangkok
15 February 2025, Bangkok – The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI), led by Khun Wanitcha Sumanat, President of SEAProTI, hosted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025 at Lumpini Metropolitan Police Station, one of Thailand’s largest police stations, which graciously provided the venue for the event.
The AGM aimed to present the annual operational report and outline future strategies for the development of the translation and interpreting industry in Thailand and the broader Southeast Asian region. Key agenda items included:
- Review of SEAProTI’s financial and operational performance
- Progress updates on training programs and professional development seminars
- Enhancement of professional standards and the development of SEAProTI’s digital platform
- Strengthening collaborations with local and international partner organizations
The meeting also provided an opportunity for members to exchange insights, propose industry development strategies, and discuss initiatives to promote the rights and recognition of translators and interpreters at the international level.
With full attendance from SEAProTI’s board and members, the AGM served as a platform to shape the strategic direction of the profession while fostering long-term growth and collaboration across professional networks.
SEAProTI’s Annual General Meeting 2025 reaffirms the association’s commitment to advancing professional standards and strengthening the role of translators and interpreters in Southeast Asia while driving global recognition of the profession.

The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) has officially announced the criteria and qualifications for individuals to register as “Certified Translators,” “Translation Certification Providers,” and “Certified Interpreters” under the association’s regulations. These guidelines are detailed in Sections 9 and 10 of the Royal Thai Government Gazette, issued by the Secretariat of the Cabinet under the Office of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, dated July 25, 2024, Volume 141, Part 66 Ng, Page 100.

SEAProTI จัดประชุมใหญ่สามัญประจำปี ณ สถานีตำรวจนครบาลลุมพินี กรุงเทพมหานคร
15 กุมภาพันธ์ 2568, กรุงเทพมหานคร – สมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI) นำโดย คุณวณิชชา สุมานัส นายกสมาคมฯ เป็นประธานการประชุมใหญ่สามัญประจำปี 2568 ซึ่งจัดขึ้น ณ สถานีตำรวจนครบาลลุมพินี หนึ่งในสถานีตำรวจที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในประเทศไทย ซึ่งได้เอื้อเฟื้อสถานที่จัดงาน
การประชุมครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อนำเสนอ รายงานผลการดำเนินงานประจำปี พร้อมกำหนด แนวทางการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมการแปลและล่าม ทั้งในประเทศไทยและในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ในอนาคต โดยมีหัวข้อสำคัญที่ได้รับการพิจารณา ได้แก่
- สรุปผลการดำเนินงานและสถานะทางการเงินของสมาคม
- ความคืบหน้าของโครงการฝึกอบรมและสัมมนาวิชาชีพ
- การยกระดับมาตรฐานวิชาชีพและการพัฒนาแพลตฟอร์มดิจิทัลของสมาคม
- การเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือกับองค์กรพันธมิตรทั้งในและต่างประเทศ
ที่ประชุมยังเปิดโอกาสให้สมาชิก แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นและเสนอแนะแนวทางพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรม ตลอดจนหารือเกี่ยวกับแนวทางในการ ส่งเสริมสิทธิและสถานะของนักแปลและล่ามในระดับสากล
การประชุมครั้งนี้มีคณะกรรมการและสมาชิกเข้าร่วมครบองค์ประชุมตามข้อบังคับของสมาคม เพื่อกำหนดทิศทางของวิชาชีพ พร้อมแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเชิงกลยุทธ์ที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อการพัฒนาองค์กรและเครือข่ายวิชาชีพในระยะยาว
การประชุมใหญ่สามัญประจำปี 2568 ของ SEAProTI ตอกย้ำบทบาทของสมาคมฯ ในการส่งเสริมมาตรฐานและความเป็นมืออาชีพของนักแปลและล่ามในภูมิภาค พร้อมผลักดันให้วิชาชีพนี้มีความเข้มแข็งและได้รับการยอมรับในระดับสากล

สมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI) ได้ประกาศหลักเกณฑ์และคุณสมบัติผู้ที่ขึ้นทะเบียนเป็น “นักแปลรับรอง (Certified Translators) และผู้รับรองการแปล (Translation Certification Providers) และล่ามรับรอง (Certified Interpreters)” ของสมาคม หมวดที่ 9 และหมวดที่ 10 ในราชกิจจานุเบกษา ของสำนักเลขาธิการคณะรัฐมนตรี ในสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี แห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย ลงวันที่ 25 ก.ค. 2567 เล่มที่ 141 ตอนที่ 66 ง หน้า 100 อ่านฉบับเต็มได้ที่: นักแปลรับรอง ผู้รับรองการแปล และล่ามรับรอง
