SEAProTI Advances Professional Translation and Interpretation Courses to Meet Modern Workforce Demands
Bangkok, April 26, 2024 – The Southeast Asia Professional Translators and Interpreters Association (SEAProTI) convened its second extraordinary meeting for Q2 2024, focusing on upgrading its translation and interpretation curriculum to align with the rapidly evolving demands of the labor market.
The association announced the development of six new courses, including subtitle translation for streaming platforms, dubbing and voiceover for documentaries and drama productions, as well as certification programs for legal and medical translation and interpretation. These certification courses are offered in Thai-English, Thai-Chinese, and Thai-Japanese language pairs, with a duration of 180 hours each. The curriculum is designed to equip participants with practical skills for immediate application in the professional field.
SEAProTI emphasized the importance of professional certification for its members who complete the training programs. This certification provides assurance of quality to employers and creates opportunities for certified professionals to seamlessly advance their careers internationally.

The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) has officially announced the criteria and qualifications for individuals to register as “Certified Translators,” “Translation Certification Providers,” and “Certified Interpreters” under the association’s regulations. These guidelines are detailed in Sections 9 and 10 of the Royal Thai Government Gazette, issued by the Secretariat of the Cabinet under the Office of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, dated July 25, 2024, Volume 141, Part 66 Ng, Page 100.

สมาคม SEAProTI เดินหน้าพัฒนาหลักสูตรการแปลและล่ามระดับมืออาชีพ ตอบโจทย์ตลาดแรงงานยุคใหม่
กรุงเทพมหานคร – วันที่ 26 เมษายน 2567 สมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI) จัดประชุมวิสามัญครั้งที่ 2 ไตรมาสที่ 2 ประจำปี 2567 โดยมีวาระสำคัญในการปรับปรุงหลักสูตรการแปลและล่ามให้ตอบสนองความต้องการของตลาดแรงงานที่เปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว
สมาคมได้พัฒนาหลักสูตรใหม่ 6 หลักสูตร ได้แก่ การแปลซับไตเติลสำหรับแพลตฟอร์มสตรีมมิ่ง การแปลบทพากย์และการพากย์งานสารคดีและละครฉบับสตูดิโอ รวมถึงหลักสูตรประกาศนียบัตรการแปลและล่ามด้านกฎหมายและการแพทย์ในคู่ภาษาไทย-อังกฤษ ไทย-จีน และไทย-ญี่ปุ่น แต่ละหลักสูตรมีระยะเวลาเรียน 180 ชั่วโมง ออกแบบมาเพื่อเสริมสร้างความรู้ความสามารถให้ผู้เรียนสามารถปฏิบัติงานจริงได้ทันที
สมาคมยังเน้นย้ำถึงการรับรองวิชาชีพสำหรับสมาชิกผู้ผ่านการอบรม เพื่อให้นายจ้างมั่นใจในคุณภาพของบุคลากร และเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพสามารถต่อยอดงานในระดับสากลได้อย่างราบรื่น
