The Role of SEAProTI and AI in Translation & Interpretation: Advancing Global Collaboration
26 June 2024, Berlin, Germany – Ms. Wanitcha Sumanat, President of the Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI), was invited as a keynote speaker at the Interpreters’ Practice Group (IPG). She delivered a lecture titled “The Role of SEAProTI in the Market and AI as an Intelligent Assistant” from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM (11:30 AM Central European Time).
During her presentation, Ms. Sumanat provided an insightful overview of SEAProTI’s history and its contributions to the professional translation and interpretation industry. She also introduced the association’s board members, emphasizing their collective vision and goals. A key part of her lecture included a demonstration of AI-powered tools and their applications in various tasks, such as document translation, interpreter management, and professional collaboration. This showcased how AI technology can enhance efficiency and simplify daily workflows for practitioners.
Another highlight of the event was the announcement of SEAProTI’s plans to sign Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with other professional associations in Europe and other continents. These partnerships aim to foster international collaboration and expand business opportunities for SEAProTI’s members and affiliates.

The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) has officially announced the criteria and qualifications for individuals to register as “Certified Translators,” “Translation Certification Providers,” and “Certified Interpreters” under the association’s regulations. These guidelines are detailed in Sections 9 and 10 of the Royal Thai Government Gazette, issued by the Secretariat of the Cabinet under the Office of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, dated July 25, 2024, Volume 141, Part 66 Ng, Page 100.

26 มิถุนายน 2567, กรุงเบอร์ลิน เยอรมนี – คุณวณิชชา สุมานัส นายกสมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI) ได้รับเกียรติเป็นวิทยากรบรรยายหัวข้อ “บทบาทของ SEAProTI ในตลาด และ AI ในฐานะผู้ช่วยอัจฉริยะ” ณ งานสัมมนา Interpreters’ Practice Group (IPG) ตั้งแต่เวลา 16.30-18.00 น. (11.30 น. ตามเวลายุโรปกลาง)
ในการบรรยาย คุณวณิชชาได้เล่าถึงประวัติความเป็นมาของสมาคมวิชาชีพ SEAProTI พร้อมแนะนำคณะกรรมการของสมาคมฯ ให้กับผู้ฟัง เพื่อสร้างความเข้าใจถึงบทบาทและเป้าหมายของสมาคมในวงการนักแปลและล่าม นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการสาธิตการใช้งาน AI ในกิจกรรมหลากหลายประเภท เช่น การแปลเอกสาร การจัดการงานล่าม และการทำงานร่วมกันในระดับมืออาชีพ เพื่อแสดงให้เห็นถึงประโยชน์ของเทคโนโลยี AI ที่ช่วยเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการทำงานและลดความซับซ้อนในชีวิตประจำวัน
อีกหนึ่งไฮไลต์สำคัญของงานคือแผนการลงนามในบันทึกความเข้าใจ (MOU) ระหว่าง SEAProTI กับสมาคมในยุโรปและภูมิภาคอื่นๆ โดยมีเป้าหมายเพื่อขยายโอกาสทางธุรกิจและสร้างความร่วมมือระดับนานาชาติสำหรับสมาชิกและพันธมิตร
