Step 1: Mandatory Training Course

Step 2: Certified Translator Proficiency Examination
Upon completing the training, applicants may choose to take the Certified Translator Level 1 (C1) proficiency exam, which includes two main sections:

A minimum overall score of 80% is required to pass

For applicants who do not pass the exam (scoring below 80%), they must wait for the next exam cycle, which is conducted four times a year. The issued certification is valid for one year, and applicants may also choose to be a club member for one year.
Step 4: Document Submission and Review
Once all required documents are complete, applicants must submit them to the association by addressing them to the Secretary of the Association or via email to the Secretary-General. The application will then be reviewed, and a period of 15 to 30 days will be allowed for members to submit any objections or support before the matter is presented at the committee meeting.
Step 5: Qualification Assessment and Registration Approval

If there are no objections, the Registrar will approve the registration under the association’s regulations, and applicants must pay the required registration fee within 30 days.

ขั้นตอนที่ 2: การสอบวัดระดับนักแปลรับรอง
เมื่อผ่านการอบรม ผู้สมัครสามารถเลือกเข้าสอบวัดระดับนักแปลรับรองระดับ 1 (ปว.1) ซึ่งประกอบด้วยการทดสอบสองส่วนหลัก ได้แก่

ขั้นตอนที่ 3: การสมัครเป็นนักแปลรับรอง
หากผู้สมัครสอบผ่านและได้คะแนนไม่น้อยกว่า 80% จะต้องเตรียมเอกสารต่อไปนี้เพื่อสมัครเป็นสมาชิกสมาคมและขอจดทะเบียนเป็นนักแปลรับรองระดับ 1 (ปว.1)

คำร้องขอจดทะเบียนเป็นนักแปลรับรอง C1 ของสมาคม

ใบสมัครสมาชิกสมาคมที่กรอกข้อมูลครบถ้วน

สำเนาบัตรประชาชนหรือหนังสือเดินทางที่รับรองสำเนาถูกต้อง
-
สำเนาปริญญาบัตรและทรานสคริปต์จากสถาบันการศึกษาที่สมาคมกำหนด พร้อมรับรองสำเนาถูกต้อง (ในบางกรณีอาจต้องใช้เอกสารตัวจริงที่ได้รับการรับรองจากกรมกงสุล)

เอกสารรับรองผลสอบด้านภาษาต่างประเทศ (รับเฉพาะตัวจริง หรือแสกนและรับรองสำเนาถูกต้องมาได้)

ใบประกาศนียบัตรผ่านการอบรมหลักสูตรภาคบังคับสำหรับการสอบระดับ C1
-
หนังสือรับรองการทำงานที่ระบุตำแหน่งเป็น “นักแปล” หรือมีความหมายคล้ายกัน

ผลสอบการแปลระดับ 1 จากสมาคม ที่ออกให้โดยสมาคม
-
หนังสือรับรองการตรวจประวัติอาชญากรรมจากสำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติ (รับตัวจริงเท่านั้น)
-
หนังสือรับรองการตรวจสอบประวัติบุคคลล้มละลายจากกรมบังคับคดี (รับตัวจริงเท่านั้น)

หนังสือรับรองจากสมาชิกสามัญของสมาคมอย่างน้อย 1 คน ค้นหาสมาชิกสามัญที่ต้องรับรองได้ที่ Directory ของสมาคม
หากผู้สมัครสอบไม่ผ่าน จะต้องรอเข้าสอบใหม่ในรอบถัดไป ซึ่งจัดขึ้นปีละ 4 ครั้ง ทั้งนี้ ใบประกาศที่ได้รับจะมีอายุ 1 ปี และสามารถเป็นสมาชิกชมรมของสมาคมได้เป็นเวลา 1 ปี
หมายเหตุ:

สมาคมไม่รับพิจารณาใบสมัครที่มีเอกสารไม่ครบ

เอกสารปลอม เอกสารไม่ถูกต้อง รวมถึงลายมือปลอม ข้อมูลเท็จ ถือเป็นคดีอาญา สมาคมขอสงวนสิทธิดำเนินคดตามกฎหมายหากพบว่าผู้สมัครยื่นเอกสารเหล่านี้เข้ามา
ขั้นตอนที่ 4: การส่งเอกสารและการพิจารณา
เมื่อเอกสารครบถ้วน ผู้สมัครต้องส่งเอกสารทั้งหมดมายังสมาคมโดยส่งถึงเลขานุการสมาคม หรือส่งผ่านอีเมลให้เลขาธิการสมาคม เพื่อนำเข้าสู่กระบวนการตรวจสอบ โดยจะมีการประกาศให้สมาชิกสามารถคัดค้านหรือสนับสนุนภายในระยะเวลา 15-30 วัน ก่อนนำเรื่องเข้าสู่ที่ประชุมคณะกรรมการ
ขั้นตอนที่ 5: การพิจารณาคุณสมบัติและการจดทะเบียน
หากไม่มีผู้คัดค้าน คุณสมบัติของผู้สมัครจะได้รับการอนุมัติจากนายทะเบียนของสมาคม โดยผู้สมัครต้องชำระค่าสมัครสมาชิกสมาคม (ค่าธรรมเนียมและค่าบำรุงสมาคม) ภายใน 30 วัน หากมีผู้คัดค้าน คณะกรรมการจะดำเนินการตรวจสอบข้อเท็จจริงและพิจารณาว่าผู้สมัครมีคุณสมบัติเหมาะสมหรือไม่ หากพบว่าไม่ผ่านเกณฑ์การรับรอง ผู้สมัครจะไม่ได้รับการจดทะเบียนเป็นนักแปลรับรอง แต่หากผ่านเกณฑ์การรับรอง แต่มีผู้คัดค้าน การรับรองจะมีเงื่อนไข
สิทธิของนักแปลรับรองระดับ 1 (ปว.1)
เมื่อลงทะเบียนเป็นนักแปลรับรองเรียบร้อยแล้ว ผู้สมัครจะได้รับสิทธิ์ดังต่อไปนี้

หนังสือรับรองจากนายทะเบียนเพื่อขึ้นทะเบียน และเอกสารสำคัญเพื่อรับรองว่า นักแปลเป็น Panelist in the Panel of Certified Translators, Translation Certification Providers, and Certified Interpreters ของสมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI)

ได้รับใบอนุญาตให้ประกอบวิชาชีพนักแปลรับรอง (Certified Translator) และผู้รับรองการแปล (Translation Certification Provider) ในนามของสมาคม

ได้รับบัตรวิชาชีพนักแปลพร้อมเลขทะเบียนสมาชิก
-
ได้รับตราประทับนักแปลที่ออกโดยสมาคม ทั้งตราประทับนักแปล (Translator Seal) และตราประทับรับรองคำแปลถูกต้อง (Certified Correct Translation stamp)

คู่มือการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ของนักวิชาชีพ โดยจะรวบรวมแนวทางการแปลเอกสาร การตรวจเอกสาร การรับรองการแปล และการจัดเตรียมเอกสารเพื่อนำส่งลูกค้า และจรรยาบรรณวิชาชีพ และความรับผิดในการแปลเอการที่มีข้อผิดพลาด)
หมายเหตุ:
ช่วง Grace Period ในการออกอุปกรณ์เพื่อสนับสนุนงานของนักแปลอยู่ที่ 120 วัน
